Before you start
- You need to be an Admin or Standard user on the Google Ads account (Read-only users can connect but only view — no optimization)
- The Google account you sign in with must own / manage the ad account
- If you use a proxy / VPN, make sure the connection is stable — OAuth is jitter-sensitive
Steps
- In dashboard top-right, click "+ Connect account" → Google Ads
- On the OAuth consent screen, pick the Google account you want to authorize
- Confirm the requested scopes (default: read all reports; adjust bids / keywords / creatives)
- Click "Allow" — you return to the DEXUN AdWhiz dashboard
- The system pulls your account structure (accounts → campaigns → ad groups → keywords), usually within 30 seconds
- You'll see "Connected" plus a 7-day metric summary
MCC (Manager Account) tip: if you already have an MCC, connecting it auto-discovers all client accounts below it. You then pick which sub-accounts to activate AI optimization for from the dashboard.
Troubleshooting
"This account is already connected by another DEXUN user"
Each Google Ads account can be connected by only one DEXUN user at a time. If a teammate connected it first, ask them to invite you via dashboard → Settings → Team — don't try to reconnect.
I don't see my sub-accounts
Most common cause: the Google account you signed in with doesn't have manager rights on that sub-account. Check via Google Ads → Tools → Access and Security.
Revoking access
You can revoke DEXUN AdWhiz at any time from Google Account permissions. Within 7 days of revocation we automatically purge the refresh token from our storage.
