Approval mode vs Auto mode

How the two modes differ and which one fits your workflow.

Approval mode (default)

AI writes recommendations → they enter your pending queue → only after you click "Apply" do they actually execute. All new accounts start here.

  • ✅ Full control — every change is reviewed before execution
  • ✅ Best for: new users, brand-sensitive accounts, ad spend > $20K/month
  • ❌ Requires 5–10 minutes of daily review

Auto mode

Recommendations execute as soon as generated. You receive email / Slack notifications. Every action is still one-click reversible.

  • ✅ Zero ops — AI optimizes 24/7
  • ✅ Best for: agencies managing 10+ accounts, low-risk accounts, $10K–$20K/mo spend
  • ❌ Not for brand-critical or large-client accounts
  • ⚠️ Even in auto mode, guard rails apply: max 30% budget change per action, max 5 changes/account/day

Hybrid (recommended)

Configure per-account in dashboard → Settings → AI automation. Example: your core account in approval mode, your managed client accounts in auto mode + Slack notifications.

Auto mode only executes high or medium confidence recommendations. Low confidence always goes through approval — never auto.
